So I'm not so sure I get the whole concept of blogging. My wife assure's me it's a wonderful way to keep in touch with family, friends, and the like. I assured her that I already send out a Christmas card every year - does my communication really need to be more extensive than that? She reminded me that we didn't send out any Christmas cards this year (too busy still writing wedding thank you cards). I suddenly remembered we hadn't, so here I am.
There was a day I was faithful with my journal keeping. I mean, everyday something was recorded. I confess that that day is long since gone. Now, I just write occasionally, and when I do write, it's pretty much very private stuff. That's another reason I don't quite get blogging. I could never think of recording "very private stuff" online for everyone else to read. Again, my wife assures me I don't need to record the inner delvings of the workings of my mind, so I guess I'll use this blog when I want to write about not so private stuff.
I think blogging must be a sport invented by women. Don't tell my wife I said this, but I'm sure women bloggers outnumber men bloggers about ten to one. Mind you, I'm not accusing women of being gossips, especially not my wife as I don't want to spend another night sleeping on the couch! I just think women are the ones most desirous to know what everyone else is doing. As for me, the knowledge that I'm getting fed in a couple of hours seems to be plenty. But I must confess, occasionally I do have something happen that's not quite journal material, but is funny enough that someone ought to know about it, even if it is a bunch of women. When that happens, I'll be sure to let you all know!
