Our Easter Gift

The week before Easter Amanda had a conference in Coeur 'd Alene, Idaho. Since it was only about 3 hours drive from us she booked her flight so she could come visit us. After her conference ended we drove up and picked her up from the Spokane Airport and then the fun began!

We did a little sightseeing in Spokane since none of us had been there before.

First was a stop at Gonzaga University and a tour of the Bing Crosby house:

On the wall in Bing's kitchen.

We took some shots at the school's entrance:

The woman who took this picture of us said, "Say 'acceptance letter.'" Then she said, "See you in four years." Amanda doesn't look THAT young. We were tempted to tell the woman the Amanda already had her Bachelors AND Master's degrees.

Then was a stroll through the campus's cathedral:

The alter was still decked with palm leaves from Palm Sunday which was great to see. Different from what we were used to but still very touching.

From there we headed to the Crosby Student Center to visit the Crosbyanna room to see more Bing Crosby memorabilia:

Then it was off to do a little window shopping and walking through part of Riverfront Park:

A couple, quick videos of our adventures in Spokane:

Prepping for this photo:

Yep, that's snow in the video and picture; within only a few minutes we saw sun, rain, snow, and hail!!!!

Dan was the camera man so that explains these odd videos he thought he was taking a picture.

We also spent some time together in the Tri-Cities area:

That's one BIG cinnamon roll! Mmmm

So many chocolates to chose from...

Look familiar? Yep same place blogged about here.

Of course we dyed some eggs and took pictures in our Easter finery:

Dying eggs wasn't without a tragedy, poor thing:

Amanda even spent some time helping us get our apartment packed up!

Talk about multitasking...storing our computers in the bathroom!

Our room, once the bed was moved.

Our place looks so BIG!

The spare room, yes we did wait to remove the big stuff until after Amanda left. However, she'd only been gone about 24 hours...
Over all a FABULOUS visit with Amanda. Thanks for taking the extra time to come see us in our place in Kennewick.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I love Bing Crosby, so I'm really jealous! I think I'll go watch one of his Road to movies.

Happy late birthday!
