Fa La La La La La La La La

A few weeks ago I promised that once pictures were taken of the rest of the holiday decor, I would post them. So now I am attempting to fulfil that promise before the decorations come down.

It was fun to get things together and decorate a new place. We I put up several things to fill our home with the Christmas spirit, but there is still tons left in storage we I didn't have room to put up.

What a treat to pull out my decorations each year and find new homes for them during this season. Wonder if this year Dan will let me break my record of mid-March for the decorations coming down...

Christmas Projects Completed

The goal was to create decorate 12 journals for Christmas. I started early to make sure I had plenty of time. My house was a mess for much too long.

Well the journals are all finished, delivered, and notes left in them for the recipients. Here are how they all turned out:

 

 

 

 

 

Each one is as unique as the person who will receive it. And each message from me was unique too. What a fun experience for me to put these all together for the precious children I've grown to love.

Major Major Boo Boo!

Backing up a few weeks.....As we finished our Thanksgiving dinner preparations we ran into a little snag...This is the appearance of our sink, after putting the potato peelings down the disposal.

We let things sit over night and still had a problem. Off to Target for some Drano to hopefully save the day...

After following the directions our sink looked like this....

So much for saving the day!!!

With one sink clogged, our Thanksgiving dishes were piled in the good sink and along the counters until Saturday when maintenance could come take care of our problem so we could use our dishwasher again.

Thank goodness for paper products and left overs to carry us through the dilemma.

Finally our sink was cleared and we were then able to take care of all our dirty dishes. That's the SECOND time we've had disposal/sink issues and had company for dinner....maybe having people for dinner isn't something we should do....

'Tis the Season

Last year (after Christmas) I found these and thus began my purchases for new Christmas Tree Decorations:

These weren't too far behind...

Add a few of these (5 to be exact)...

Hmmm, these might work too...

And don't forget these babies!

A box of these added the final touch...

After several hours....The final results:

WA-LA! 

(Of course this is just part of our decorations. I haven't finished taking pictures of everything and once those are completed, more decoration pictures will be posted.)

OCD??? - Part 2

Dan claims he has a very organized way of doing puzzles. I'm not so sure organized is the right word...

After almost 4 weeks of working on the puzzle (with minimal help from my mom and me) this

now looks like this.
