It came time to take off the Americana decorations from the trees and change them to something more fall appropriate. After doing some shopping I got ready to make the switch until I realized that keeping up the Americana things should wait until after September 11.
A few days later I took my vacuum outside and cleaned off the trees (spiders, moths, gnats, dead leaves and dirt have no place in my home even if they think they can live in my trees). It took some work but finally I brought them in, and sadly a few stragglers came in too but I took care of them.
I started putting things onto the tree to try out different ideas.
Then I added a few extras to things I already had:
And soon the house had the feel of autumn all around.

Only a few adjustments to change from autumn into Halloween and then to Thanksgiving....well I hope so anyway.
